Welcome to South Korea!

In Jeonju, we will get to know each other over a delicious dinner at a traditional Korean restaurant.

Depending on our energy levels, we will then explore the historic Hanok Village and the lively Nambu Night Market, capturing our first photographic impressions of South Korea.

Shortly before noon, we return to our hotel. During this time, the tour leader will arrange the rental car for our onward journey.

After a lunch break, we visit the Museum of Intangible Heritage, where we will learn more about Korea’s rich culture and history.

We then continue on foot to Jaman Mural Village, followed by one final visit to Hanok Village before setting off for our wellness hotel further south in Gochang.

Around midday, we return to the car park and continue towards Damyang after a short lunch break. Here, we visit the famous Metasequoia-lined avenue, where the perfectly aligned trees create a unique setting for photography.

Next, we make a brief stop at Gwanghallu Pavilion in Namwon before heading to the final destination of the day: Saseongam Temple. Dramatically perched on a rocky cliff, the temple offers wonderful views of the surrounding valleys.

After this varied day of exploration and photography, we check into our next hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening.

Day 7: Seoul

5 November 2027

Day 8: Seoul

6 November 2027

We begin the final day of our journey early in the morning on Namsan Mountain. Brilliant yellow and red autumn foliage lines the trail as we make our way up to N Seoul Tower at the summit, where sweeping views across Seoul’s skyline await us.

Later in the morning, we visit Bongeunsa Temple, followed by the nearby Starfield Library, famous for its towering open bookshelves and one of Seoul’s most photographed interiors.

In the afternoon, we continue to Lotte World Tower, one of the tallest buildings in the world. Afterwards, we explore the expansive Olympic Park, an ideal place for a leisurely walk and photographs featuring Lotte World Tower as a spectacular backdrop.

Towards evening, we begin our hike up Inwangsan Mountain. The ascent is relatively short, and at the summit, we are rewarded with a breathtaking sunset that bathes the city in warm light. As darkness falls, Seoul reveals a spectacular sea of lights, with glittering skyscrapers, illuminated palace grounds and N Seoul Tower creating an unforgettable panorama.

A perfect finale to our journey.

About me

My name is Marcel, I’m 31 years old, Swiss citizen and I have been passionate about photography for over ten years.

What began as simple travel snapshots quickly developed into a deep fascination with more complex compositions and travel documentary photography. My journeys to Japan and South Korea have been particularly influential in shaping my photographic style. The aesthetics, architecture and unique atmosphere of these countries have left a lasting impression on the way I see and capture the world.

These experiences inspired me to create my own guided photography tours. I share not only my knowledge and experience, but also my enthusiasm for these destinations with fellow photography enthusiasts, taking them to carefully selected locations beyond the usual tourist routes.

My goal is for everyone who joins my tours to return home just as inspired and fascinated by Japan or South Korea as I was when I first discovered these remarkable countries many years ago.
